For Phuong Chau Healthcare Group, ethical governance and transparency are reflected not only in legal compliance or information disclosure. They also provide the foundation for consistent operations, effective risk control and the long-term maintenance of healthcare quality.
In the healthcare sector, every governance decision can directly affect patients, employees and the community. Therefore, Phuong Chau has gradually integrated ESG principles into its daily operations. These principles are reflected in clinical processes, operational data, environmental management, workforce development and accountability.
The following sections highlight key milestones in Phuong Chau’s journey of ESG implementation, sustainable development and transparent governance.

Phuong Chau Healthcare Group 2025 Sustainability Report
The 2025 Sustainability Report marks an important step in Phuong Chau’s efforts to systematize, measure and disclose its sustainable development activities.
This is the first standalone sustainability report prepared by Phuong Chau Healthcare Group. The report covers activities carried out in 2025 across the Group’s four hospitals. Its content is aligned with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, JCI criteria and EcoVadis standards.
The report demonstrates that sustainable development at Phuong Chau is not implemented as a separate program. ESG is integrated into the Group’s development strategy, risk governance and healthcare operations.
Phuong Chau’s sustainable development strategy is built on five key pillars:
- Quality of treatment and care safety.
- Exceptional customer experience.
- Clinical excellence and capability development.
- Workforce engagement and comprehensive well-being.
- Responsible, adaptive and sustainable operations.
The materiality assessment process also enabled Phuong Chau to identify its priority issues. These include patient safety, occupational health, waste management, data security, business ethics, patient experience and human resource development.
Through the report, Phuong Chau demonstrates its commitment to strengthening transparency and accountability. Environmental, social and governance indicators are gradually being measured, monitored and disclosed in accordance with international frameworks.

Phuong Chau Integrates ESG into the Core of Hospital Governance
In an interview with TheLEADER Magazine, the leadership of Phuong Chau Healthcare Group stated that ESG in healthcare is gradually becoming a core operational discipline.
In hospitals, ESG is not a concept entirely separate from clinical activities. Principles such as patient safety, infection control, information transparency and continuous improvement have long been embedded in healthcare quality governance.
ESG places these principles within a long-term strategy. Each activity requires measurable indicators, monitoring data and mechanisms for verification over time.
Phuong Chau began implementing ESG systematically in 2022. The initial objective was not to introduce more new activities. The focus was on standardizing how existing operational practices were measured and governed.
This approach enables leaders to identify risks earlier. It also provides the workforce with a common language of data for monitoring and improving operations together.
The environmental, social and governance pillars are closely interconnected. A clean and safe hospital environment must be supported by effective infection control processes. A positive patient experience must be created by a workforce that is respected and supported. Clinical quality must be maintained through data, processes and transparent oversight mechanisms.
The journey of pursuing JCI standards also established an important foundation for ESG implementation. For Phuong Chau, JCI is more than an accreditation. It is an operational discipline maintained every day, enabling hospitals across the system to operate according to the same standards and governance practices.
EcoVadis is also used as a tool to help the system assess its level of maturity. By benchmarking itself against international standards, Phuong Chau can identify gaps between actual operations and its policy framework. This allows principles concerning professional ethics, service transparency and oversight to be standardized more consistently across the system.
In the long term, Phuong Chau considers ESG a foundation for building trust. When the quality of treatment, patient experience and transparency are measured, the healthcare system can maintain consistent quality across generations.

ESG Is a Responsibility Embedded in Practical Operations
At the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025, a representative of Phuong Chau Healthcare Group shared the Group’s perspective on how a healthcare system approaches and implements ESG.
Accordingly, ESG is not merely a set of criteria used to assess enterprises. Given the specific nature of healthcare, ESG first and foremost reflects respect and responsibility toward patients, employees, the community and the environment.
Sustainable development principles are incorporated into the hospital’s daily activities. This is reflected in waste management, waste sorting, energy conservation, reducing the use of disposable products and accelerating digitalization.
Alongside technical solutions, people are considered a fundamental factor. Phuong Chau maintains internal training and communication activities to help employees understand their roles in the sustainable development journey.
ESG implementation is therefore not solely the responsibility of a specialized department. Every individual within the system can contribute through small choices and actions in their daily work.
From 2026 onward, Phuong Chau plans to continue digitalizing ESG data, strengthening emissions measurement and applying technology to support the monitoring and control of sustainable development objectives.
