Phuong Chau’s ESG Achievements in 2025
Phuong Chau Healthcare Group was the only healthcare organization among the five exemplary enterprises honored at the Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 under Category G – Governance. The Group received the title of “Outstanding Enterprise in Corporate Governance toward Sustainable Development.”
This category recognizes enterprises that have established transparent and effective governance systems and applied science, technology and data to create a strong foundation for long-term development.
Previously, in November 2025, Phuong Chau won third prize at the 2025 Hospital Quality Improvement and Innovation Competition, organized by the Can Tho Department of Health.
The Group’s competition poster aligned with the theme of innovation and creativity in hospital quality improvement. It focused on enhancing patient and healthcare worker satisfaction, improving workforce productivity, promoting thrift and preventing waste, while reducing environmental impacts.

ESG Integrated into Hospital Operations
According to a representative of Phuong Chau Healthcare Group, ESG principles have been incorporated into the daily operations of its hospital system and implemented across three key pillars:
Environment
Phuong Chau integrates environmental impact reduction objectives into its operating processes. These include managing medical waste in accordance with regulations, conserving resources and reducing emissions.
Several solutions have been implemented, such as reducing the use of single-use plastics, transitioning to environmentally friendly alternatives, reusing condensate water for cooling systems, and recycling materials generated from tree-pruning activities.
The Group has also conducted greenhouse gas emissions inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
Social
The Group stated that it focuses on creating a safe, respectful and sustainable working environment for healthcare professionals while continuously improving patients’ experiences and satisfaction.
Internal ESG training and communication activities are conducted regularly to raise awareness and encourage employees to properly sort waste, conserve energy and proactively participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives.
Governance
Phuong Chau places strong emphasis on transparency in governance and strengthens the application of data and technology in management to improve operational efficiency.
Since 2023, the hospital system has undergone ESG assessments by EcoVadis. By 2025, its ESG maturity score had increased from 15 to 51 out of 100, reflecting significant progress according to international assessment standards.
At the same time, Phuong Chau has accelerated digital transformation across its operations and researched the application of technologies, including artificial intelligence, to monitor, measure and support the implementation of its ESG objectives.

Phuong Chau’s ESG Direction for the 2025–2030 Period
Regarding its future plans, Phuong Chau Healthcare Group stated that it has developed a long-term ESG roadmap for the 2025–2030 period.
From 2026 onward, the hospital system plans to intensify efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, digitalize ESG data and apply technological tools, including artificial intelligence, to systematically monitor, measure and implement ESG practices under controlled processes.
Other Outstanding Quality Achievements in 2025
In 2025, Phuong Chau Healthcare Group continued to achieve significant milestones in healthcare quality.
The hospital system maintained its JCI Enterprise status, awarded by the Joint Commission International of the United States. This is one of the highest levels of accreditation for healthcare systems in which multiple member hospitals achieve and operate consistently according to international standards.
To maintain this status, all member hospitals are required to obtain JCI accreditation. In particular, Phuong Chau International Hospital in Can Tho receiving JCI accreditation for the second time was considered a key factor in affirming the entire system’s ability to maintain international quality standards at the highest level.
At the same time, Phuong Chau’s assisted reproductive technology services continued to receive international recognition. IVF Phuong Chau Can Tho achieved RTAC accreditation from Australia for the fourth consecutive time, while IVF Phuong Chau Saigon at Phuong Nam Hospital was reaccredited for the second time.
According to a Phuong Chau representative, these achievements reflect not only the Group’s professional and governance capabilities but also provide direct benefits to Vietnamese people, as healthcare services throughout the system are delivered in accordance with rigorous international standards for safety and quality.
